Fall themed newborn photo session

Even thought this sweet baby girl was born in August, mom was totally open to the idea of using a fall palette for her newborn photo session. I was beyond excited to style this session.

There's something so cozy and comforting about fall. The cool breeze, the smells of bonfires and smores, apple pies, pumpkin picking and leaves falling are all things that come to mind and bring a smile to my face.

I know that when this family looks back on these newborn photos it will remind them not only of the happiness that fall brings but of how tiny their baby girl once was. Babies change so fast and if you don't have photos you most likely won't remember what they looked like those first 2 weeks after birth. The sleep deprivation doesn't help.

Another reason I was so excited to do this session was because I have photographed many occasions for this family. I did 2 other newborn sessions for them along with milestone sessions (6 month, 1 year). I photographed the parent's wedding and dad coming home from the Army. I'm so thankful to have always gotten to photograph their most special moments.
